Where can I get a Tuberculosis Skin Test (also called TB, Mantoux, or PPD)?

Answer:

If you have health insurance coverage, then you should first reach out to your physician/primary care doctor or your child’s pediatrician (if it is for a child). In the event that your physician does not stock this or cannot offer the testing then you can try the local pharmacies, or a pharmacy that has a clinic located within (for example, CVS Minute Clinic). The pharmacy may not necessarily take the insurance and may charge you the price of the testing and reading.

If you do not have health insurance, you can still reach out to the local pharmacies, or a pharmacy that has a clinic located within (for example, CVS Minute Clinic). However, please keep in mind you may be charged for the test and the reading. You can also try reaching out to one of the Federally Qualified Health Centers in our county. For a list of Federally Qualified Health Centers please follow this link http://web.doh.state.nj.us/apps2/fhs/cphc/cphcSearch.aspx.

If the test is for a child, who recently moved to the country, does not have health coverage, and is a resident of Monmouth County you can reach out to the Monmouth County TB Clinic at 732-308-3750.
