What is mental health?
Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices.
What is mental health promotion?
Mental health promotion aims to increase protective factors to prevent the onset of negative mental health outcomes. Examples of mental health promotion are programs that boost self-esteem, teach healthy coping skills, and foster social connection.

What is MCRHC doing to promote mental health?

Self-esteem tabling in local libraries
Health educator talked about the importance of self-esteem and engaged community members in celebrating things they are proud of/qualities they like about themselves by sharing these on a "self-esteem wall"! Kids participated in the “Draw yourself as a super hero activity” and recognized their best qualities as superpowers.
